Eradicating global poverty is first and foremost among the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The U.N. recognizes that advancing human rights by fostering financial wellbeing in our communities is a crucial part of sustainable development and the foundation from which the other SDGs can be achieved. Meeting these global challenges takes innovative ideas and collaboration among conscious leaders from both the nonprofit and private sectors.

From connecting communities with clean water and healthy, affordable food to ensuring access to education and income-generating opportunities, Helvetas work is underpinned by the SDGs. At this virtual gathering, Christian Steiner, CEO of Helvetas USA, will illustrate how nonprofits like Helvetas join with the private sector to help advance the SDGs and why business support is so critical, in addition to providing examples of successful collaborative projects that are creating positive impacts locally and globally.
